Bio
Holding an undergraduate in Music and a Master's degree in Music - Composition (creative processes) from UDESC, Riccieri Paludo has devoted himself in the last years to musical composition, academic research, audio production studies and live music performances, where he explores and blends classical and popular music.
As a composer, his focus lately has been on electroacoustic concert music. He received the award for Best Composition at the Radio Udesc 20th-anniversary competition and has also produced choreographic soundtracks for Skiante Dance Company, which have received recognition at festivals such as "Passo de Arte" in São Paulo, the Joinville Dance Festival in Joinville, and the "Prêmio Desterro" in Florianópolis, among others, including the Joinfest, Festival Arte e Movimento, and the Encontro Catarinense de Dança. In addition, he has also composed soundtracks for long and short movies, theater plays, and art installations.
As an audio tech lover, he has some years of experience with studio and Ableton Live, using this background creatively in his own compositions and working with local video production companies recording, mixing, and mastering various chamber music recitals and performances filmed in southern Brazil. He also mixed some Brazilian local artists' songs and the recordings of his creations.
As a performer, he has played as a cellist in the Santa Catarina Symphony Orchestra, Lages Symphony Orchestra, and the UDESC Orchestra, and many other projects. He also recorded cello over 50 tracks, such as the DVD "Folcloreando" by the Quarteto Coração de Potro, albums by Joana Castanheira - "O Aparador de Saudades" and "Desapreço", as well as albums by André Teixeira and Ricardo Bergha. He has also performed with the Classical'n'Rock group at the Pinhão Festival in Lages, and across Santa Catarina, with shows like "A Era do Rádio" and "O Auto da Compadecida" by Cia Cara de Bonecos, among other performances as a member of the UDESC Orchestra.
